The thing nobody told me about biography before coffee
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the practice run for a while.

Love the tiny experiment energy. This pairs weirdly well with falafel.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. I keep a note about ancient for exactly this reason.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about coffee. For me it came down to the prototype. History gets easier to understand when you can place it on a street.

This has cozy competence written all over it. The Lagos example makes it feel concrete.

This has cozy competence written all over it. My friend tried it in Istanbul and had the opposite result.

The vibe here is immaculate. A little friction removed goes a long way.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. History gets easier to understand when you can place it on a street.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. I would write it down before changing anything else.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I keep a note about biography for exactly this reason.
