Mental Health · by Aoi Ito · 2026-10-08

Notes from a very normal quiet Sunday with Mental Health from my late summer notes

I tried this in Warsaw with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

This made me smile more than expected. This pairs weirdly well with idli.

I think both things can be true.

Good reminder that boring can be good. For me it came down to the recipe.

There is probably a middle ground here. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

That last line is excellent. The Melbourne example makes it feel concrete.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I would love to see a follow-up after 6 weeks.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

I am stealing that phrase.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

That is the part people skip.

Yep, the boring details matter.

I had the same reaction to seems.

Thanks, that actually helped.

I am stealing that phrase.

That is a much better way to say it.

Now I want a spreadsheet.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

I would love a follow-up example.

Can you share what you tried before this? This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Noted, and thank you.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. The 10-minute rule is underrated.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. My only addition is to make the first step visible.
