A tiny win from Toronto that made my week for absolute beginners
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Music feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
I started this because my winter felt a little stuck, and playlists seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. artists got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

The vibe here is immaculate. The surprising part is easy to underestimate.

Honestly, great taste. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. I would test it for 10 days before deciding.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I would love to see a follow-up after 8 weeks.

I would push back gently on the beginners part. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink made. I keep a note about concerts for exactly this reason.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. For me it came down to the playlist.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. The rainy evening version is even more interesting.

This made me smile more than expected. For me it came down to the setup. I love when a recommendation comes with the right mood attached.
