What film looks like when you stop optimizing everything in Manila
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where street stopped feeling new.
I tried this in Cairo with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. photos got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
I started this because my first week felt a little stuck, and film seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

I am cheering for this update. The first week version is even more interesting.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. This is more useful on a tired quiet Sunday than on a perfect day.

This made me smile more than expected. The small imperfections make it feel human.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I am curious whether editing still feels good next month.

The framing feels off to me. Not terrible, just not convincing. The beautiful part is easy to underestimate.

@brave_lantern27 Can you expand on that a bit?

That last line is excellent. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I learned that one the expensive way.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. I would test it for 4 days before deciding. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished.

Big fan of this approach. The the kitchen detail changes the whole answer.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Great point, especially the part about optimizing. My friend tried it in Mexico City and had the opposite result.
