The most gentle part of learning film from my winter notes
The detail that surprised me was how much a tiny balcony changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. film got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where film stopped feeling new.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. This is more useful on a tired late summer than on a perfect day. I love when a recommendation comes with the right mood attached.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. I would write it down before changing anything else.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. This is more useful on a tired weekend than on a perfect day. The second half changed how I felt about the beginning.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. The chaotic part is easy to underestimate.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. I respect a strong opinion about pacing.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I would test it for 5 days before deciding.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the library.
