A tiny story about sourdough, Manila and timing after 5 tries

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

I started this because my weekend felt a little stuck, and dinner seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. It sounds small, but the tiny repair matters.

I am stealing that phrase.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink sourdough. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the library.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. The social part surprised me too.

This made me smile more than expected. I learned that one the expensive way.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. It sounds small, but the playlist matters.

Noted, and thank you.

Love the tiny experiment energy. I would test it for 2 days before deciding. I would absolutely hover near the kitchen for this.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

The kindness in this post is lovely. I learned that one the expensive way.

Love the tiny experiment energy. The simple version is usually the one people actually repeat.

I wanted to like this, but the sourdough argument is weak. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. A squeeze of lemon would probably wake it up.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. My only addition is to make the first step visible.
