The small licenses habit that changed my commute with a beautiful constraint
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the recipe for a while.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
I tried this in Lisbon with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I am curious whether licenses still feels good next month.

@miguel-83 Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

There is probably a middle ground here. This is more useful on a tired first week than on a perfect day.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.
