Can we talk about the underrated side of strength after 46 tries

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the recipe for a while.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Sanne de Vries · 57 likes

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Lagos? For me it came down to the tiny repair.

Solar Lantern · 6 likes

Adding this to my notes.

Urban Fern · 32 likes

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

Camila Rocha · 27 likes

This is one of those ideas that looks great online and falls apart on Tuesday. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Rohan Mehta · 27 likes

The framing feels off to me. Not terrible, just not convincing. I noticed the same thing in Dublin.

Rizky Pratama · 25 likes

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The Kuala Lumpur example makes it feel concrete. People underestimate how much sleep changes the answer.

Brave Panda · 22 likes

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. This pairs weirdly well with ramen. Glad you shared the messy version too.

This comment has main-character footnote energy.

@solar_rider53 Totally agree, especially for beginners.

Gentle Comet · 3 likes

Kind of wild how often pairs is the whole issue.

Aoi Ito · 22 likes

Great point, especially the part about underrated. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Sleepy Rider · 21 likes

Love the tiny experiment energy. This pairs weirdly well with arepas.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

Mariam Al Mansoori · 0 likes

That is a much better way to say it.

Arif Hasan · 18 likes

Can you share what you tried before this? I noticed the same thing in São Paulo.

Mango Coder · 17 likes

Great point, especially the part about strength.

Hana Choi · 15 likes

The vibe here is immaculate. I learned that one the expensive way.

The kindness in this post is lovely. The practical part is easy to underestimate. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The social part surprised me too.

Noted, and thank you.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

The Tuesday test is undefeated.

Urban Fern · 13 likes

Big fan of this approach. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

Lina Al Harbi · 13 likes

I am saving this for the next time I overthink tries. The the library detail changes the whole answer.

Omar Hassan · 12 likes

This is adorable and oddly motivating. I would test it for 5 days before deciding.

Quiet Atlas · 30 likes

@omarbakes Could be regional too.

Nicolás Díaz · 1 likes

@omarbakes I needed the reminder to start smaller.

Grace Parker · 1 likes

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

Zofia Kowalska · 12 likes

I am saving this for the next time I overthink talk. The surprising constraint is probably the real story.

Tomás Gómez · 12 likes

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 4 months. My friend tried it in Berlin and had the opposite result.

Sleepy Sparrow · 12 likes

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Ethan Brooks · 11 likes

The kindness in this post is lovely. That is where the boring checklist helps.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. I would test it for 2 days before deciding.

That last line is excellent. That is where the boring checklist helps. Small progress still counts.

Minh Nguyen · 10 likes

This is adorable and oddly motivating. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Chloe Davis · 9 likes

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration.

Pixel Marauder · 8 likes

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Urban Orbit · 22 likes

Kind of wild how often less is the whole issue.

Mango Baker · 15 likes

My wallet felt that.

Pixel Marauder · 12 likes

Anecdote beats theory here.

Aoi Ito · 5 likes

My wallet felt that.

I think both things can be true.

Fair pushback.

Pixel Marauder · 0 likes

Rohan Mehta · 9 likes

That is a good boundary.

Urban Fern · 18 likes

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

Jonas Schneider · 3 likes

This is the gentle version of my rant.

Jan Nowak · 8 likes

This sounds good, but in practice it can be a bad idea without more context. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Laura Gómez · 8 likes

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about tries. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day.

Elsa Andersson · 6 likes

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Aoi Ito · 6 likes

That made the concept click.

Lucas Dubois · 0 likes

That is a good boundary.

Jisoo Park · 7 likes

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 3 months. The social part surprised me too.

Siti Lestari · 7 likes

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar.

Gentle Fern · 2 likes

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Camila Rocha · 7 likes

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. The social part surprised me too.

Noah Campbell · 6 likes

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. This is more useful on a tired Monday morning than on a perfect day. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

An Pham · 6 likes

Good reminder that boring can be good. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Maksym Bondar · 5 likes

@solar_rider53 I like this more than the top-level advice.

Maya Williams · 6 likes

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. For me it came down to the prototype.

Rohan Mehta · 6 likes

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. The 5-minute rule is underrated.

Tomás Gómez · 6 likes

That last line is excellent. I would write it down before changing anything else.

Budi Santoso · 6 likes

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. I would love to see a follow-up after 6 weeks.

I wish more posts had this much context. This is more useful on a tired busy month than on a perfect day.

Khalid Al Zahrani · 2 likes

Now I want a spreadsheet.

Solar Orbit · 5 likes

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. I noticed the same thing in Toronto.

Ananya Rao · 5 likes

Great point, especially the part about strength. I keep a note about habits for exactly this reason.
