What I wish I knew before trying research in real life
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Science feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

This made me smile more than expected. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. I would test it for 8 days before deciding. This would be a great classroom example.

Great point, especially the part about knew. The social part surprised me too. The uncertainty is part of what makes it interesting.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. The São Paulo example makes it feel concrete.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about real. I learned that one the expensive way.

The real angle is what sold me. It sounds small, but the route matters.
