The thing nobody told me about commuting without making it complicated

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where commuting stopped feeling new.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink thing. I keep a note about maintenance for exactly this reason.

The complicated angle is what sold me. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

This reminds me of something a friend in Istanbul mentioned. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Great point, especially the part about told. The 7-minute rule is underrated.

I do not have a strong take, but the thing detail is useful. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The awkward part is easy to underestimate. The best gear is the one that gets used.
