Notes from a very normal winter with AI Lab after 18 tries

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the route for a while.

I started this because my quiet Sunday felt a little stuck, and machinelearning seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make AI Lab feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. The lunch break version is even more interesting.

This reminds me of something a friend in Melbourne mentioned. This is more useful on a tired first week than on a perfect day. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I keep a note about prompts for exactly this reason.

I wish more posts had this much context. The 5-minute rule is underrated.

This has cozy competence written all over it. I would love to see the benchmark numbers.
