Unpopular Opinions · by Martina Fernández · 2026-09-01

Pick one for the rest of the month after 44 tries

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Unpopular Opinions feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 6 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the recipe for a while.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where culture stopped feeling new.

I wish more posts had this much context. The chaotic constraint is probably the real story.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 2 months. This pairs weirdly well with bibimbap.
