What kids looks like when you stop optimizing everything after 7 tries

I started this because my late summer felt a little stuck, and kids seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 3 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where advice stopped feeling new.

Love the tiny experiment energy.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Good reminder that boring can be good. That is where the boring checklist helps.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. This pairs weirdly well with ramen.
