Why does budgeting feel easy for everyone except me?

I'm short on time and trying to make budgeting manageable. I started looking at saving on a quiet Sunday when I felt stuck. After nine attempts, I seem to follow through when I keep the setup simple. The smallest change was the one I kept.

Run the numbers on a normal month and a bad month. If the plan only works in the normal month, it is probly too fragile. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines

I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I like the idea, but the setup probly matters a lot. I used to overcomplicate this constantly

I would prioritize emergency savings before optimizing tiny investment differences. Boring liquidity prevents expensive panic. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me

I would push back gently on the budgeting part. For me it came down to the routine

I'm curious whether saving still feels good next month.
