Vegan Kitchen · by Grace Parker · 2026-10-09

A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made after 11 tries

I tried this in Cairo with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Vegan Kitchen feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. The 7-minute rule is underrated. A squeeze of lemon would probably wake it up.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

I am stealing that phrase.

That is the part people skip.
