A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made after 7 tries

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

This made me smile more than expected. I learned that one the expensive way.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether made stayed easy. My only addition is to make the first step visible. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

This sounds good, but in practice it can be a bad idea without more context. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.
