A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made in real life

I tried this in Kuala Lumpur with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 9 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. I would write it down before changing anything else. The hidden expense is usually time.

I would love a follow-up example.

That made the concept click.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Could be regional too.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

That is a much better way to say it.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. The social part surprised me too.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether mistake stayed easy. I noticed the same thing in Kuala Lumpur.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

I would love a follow-up example.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

There is probably a middle ground here. It sounds small, but the first draft matters.

The vibe here is immaculate. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I do not have a strong take, but the glad detail is useful.
