How do you work on your resume when life is busy?

I started experimenting with interviews because I felt stuck during my lunch breaks. In Berlin, a friend and I noticed that the social part mattered more than a perfect plan. How do you make time for your resume and interviews on a tired weekday, rather than an ideal Sunday?

Ask about total compensation, growth and manager expectations. Salary matters, but so does the environment you’ll work in every day.

If two options look equal, I’d choose the one that’s easier to reverse. Come back with what happened; the details will make the next answer better.

Make the next step obvious and keep notes on what worked. Asking someone with recent experience helped me more than collecting strong opinions.

Run the numbers on a normal month and a bad month. If the plan only works in a normal month, it’s probably too fragile.
