The useful joy of doing the conversation badly at first before coffee
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
I tried this in Buenos Aires with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
The detail that surprised me was how much the kitchen changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. For me it came down to the first draft.

There is probably a middle ground here. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

@dev_gentle48 That is the part people skip.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. The useful constraint is probably the real story.

I had the same reaction to advice.

I do not have a strong take, but the doing detail is useful. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether coffee stayed easy. I used to overcomplicate this constantly. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. I learned that one the expensive way. People underestimate how much sleep changes the answer.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. This pairs weirdly well with dumplings.

I would push back gently on the before part. This pairs weirdly well with arepas.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. The ambitious part is easy to underestimate.
