Settle a friendly Gaming debate
I tried this in Berlin with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the routine for a while.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 2 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Backlog clearing got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I noticed the same thing in Toronto.

The kindness in this post is lovely. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

I picked Backlog clearing, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. It sounds small, but the prototype matters.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Tabletop session. It seems like the practical answer. I learned that one the expensive way.

I picked Ranked match, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. The delightful constraint is probably the real story.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Ranked match. It seems like the practical answer. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.
