Child Safety Standards
Last updated: October 31, 2026
These are the standards of Orbit (the Orbit Discuss apps for Android and iOS and the website orbitdiscuss.com) against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to everything on Orbit: posts, comments, images, videos, profiles, avatars and direct messages.
Zero tolerance
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexualises minors is strictly prohibited.
- Grooming, sextortion, trafficking, soliciting minors, sharing or requesting such material, or linking to it, is strictly prohibited.
- Orbit is for people aged 16 and over. Members may not use Orbit to contact minors for sexual or exploitative purposes.
How to report
- In the app: open the ⋯ menu on any post, comment, profile or direct message, choose Report and select Sexual content or Illegal. You can also Block the member so you no longer see their content or receive their messages.
- By email: support@orbitdiscuss.com with the subject “Child safety”.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.
What we do
- We review reports within 24 hours and prioritise reports about child safety.
- We remove CSAE content and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- We report apparent CSAM to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement in the affected country, and preserve the information they need as required by law.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests that comply with applicable law.
