Green Flag / Red Flag · by Daan Bakker · 2026-10-30

He made a slideshow to ask me to be exclusive

Seeing a guy for two months (I'm 28F, Seoul). Last night he says he has "something to show me" and opens his laptop. It's a 9 slide presentation titled "Proposal: Us (Officially)". There was an agenda slide. There was a SWOT analysis. Under Weaknesses he wrote "I snore (being addressed)" and "Your mother has not met me yet." The last slide just said "Q&A" with a cat emoji.

I laughed so hard I cried and he looked kind of hurt for a second, then started laughing too. I said yes.

My coworkers think it's the most cringe thing they've ever heard. My sister thinks it's the cutest. Which flag am I living in

UPDATE: he sent me the file. It's saved as proposal_final_v3.pptx. There were THREE versions

the cringe flag is a sub category of green flag tbh. cringe because he tried

"I snore (being addressed)" is such a good line, he's self aware and has an action plan

he looked hurt for a second when you laughed. that's a real person putting himself out there. glad you said yes

he's going for the mom on slide 4, smart man

your coworkers are wrong, the cringe is the point. nobody makes slides for someone they don't care about

please ask him to present at your wedding. same format

Q&A with a cat emoji is a perfect ending

v1 probably had 20 slides and someone told him to cut it down

a SWOT analysis of the relationship is the most consultant thing I've ever heard. green, cringe, but green
